What a great idea to take cyanotype paper with you! I also want to make myself a little grid window now too.

I never used it as a field sketching tool before, but I love it! I'm going to write a post about it soon.

Thanks so much for sharing this! I always loved looking at the Dalton Highway section of the Milepost (long before the Internet). One of the pictures had a person biking the highway and I always thought that seemed like an amazing thing to. I love that the Dalton Highway Artist Residency is a real thing and that you're the artist. How wonderful.

Thanks! The artist residency is such a great opportunity. I love looking at the milepost also. I admire all the people who bike up the Haul Road. I think there would be lots of trucks and lots of mosquitos (and/ or rain!) but such an adventure! I saw a few bikers on my journey.

Thank you. I’m glad the grid was helpful. Sometimes I use that to sketch a whole landscape and sometimes I use it just for one part (like the mountains in the background).
